Safety Tips

Laurelwood Shopping Center’s number one priority is to provide you with the best possible shopping experience. We are committed to your safety and we ask that you remember the following safety tips while visiting the center.

Keep valuables hidden and your automobile locked.
We encourage you to keep your valuables at home. If you do need to keep packages or important items in your car, please keep them hidden and out of sight in your trunk or in a locked glove compartment. Please remember to lock your car at all times.

Be alert and aware of your surroundings.
As you return to your vehicle, have your keys already in your hand and be alert to what is going on around you.  Searching for car keys in a purse or pocket or using a cell phone can distract your attention.  As you enter your vehicle, lock your doors and drive away promptly.

Consolidate your packages.
If you find yourself overloaded with too many packages to carry, consider consolidating them into a few larger bags, or unload them into the trunk of your locked car.

Be mindful of your belongings.
Please keep a close eye on your purse, wallet, valuables, and packages, and keep them close to you at all times. Never leave personal belongings unattended, even for a second.

Educate your children about safety.
Discuss with your children the importance of awareness and develop a lost and found contingency plan prior to your arrival. If your children get separated from you, they should be encouraged to locate
Laurelwood Shopping Center security officers. If you are visiting with older children, choose a meeting spot and be sure to keep cell phones handy.

If you have any security concerns, please email our Property Manager Leonard Lurie(llurie [at] luriellc [dot] com), or call him at 901.399.7115.
